If you would like MB Concepts to come
up with well-crafted keywords for the search engines, leave
the keyword boxes blank and check the "Please create for me"
box.
The website keywords are the words that when entered as
queries into the search engines will trigger your listings
to come up in the results. The following are guidelines to
selecting high quality keywords.
1. The best keywords are 2-4 word phrases that accurately
reflect the way that users may search for the products or
services that you offer. For example, if you are a breeder
of golden retrievers, the keyword "dog" would be a poor
keyword. While widely searched, it is not specific to your
site and your rankings would be much lower. "Golden
retriever breeder" and "golden retriever breeding" would be
much better keywords.
2. Make sure to avoid using keywords that are descriptions
of your service. For example, descriptors such "free
shipping" or "huge selection" are not good keywords. You
want to make sure to pick keywords that Internet users would
type into the search engines that would be interested in
your site.
3. If you offer a product or service regionally, make sure
to use keywords that specify the locale in which you
operate. For example, if you are an accountant in Los
Angeles, "accountant" would be a poor keyword to use, since
most users searching for that keyword would be located
outside the region that you serve, and therefore the search
engines would rank you very low (or not at all) for those
keywords. "Los Angeles accountant" or "southern California
accountant" would be a much improved keyword.
All keywords are reviewed by a MB Concepts marketing
specialist before your site is submitted to the search
engines to ensure that the keywords will be approved by the
search engines and provide relevant website traffic to your
site. If it is determined that your keywords are not
relevant to your site or too broad (in which case the search
engines will not list your site for that keyword), we will
do our best to improve or add to the keywords that you
originally provided.
